Visit Slieve Gullion Mountain in Northern Ireland

Slieve Gullion is a mountain located in the south of County Armagh in Northern Ireland. It is the highest point in the county at 573 metres. Slieve Gullion is the perfect place to go for a day out for a walkers and families alike. Experience the peaceful trails through the woodlands, beautiful views across the Ring of Gullion and the Mourne Mountains.

You can explore the Giant's Lair in the Hawthorn Hill Forest Nature Reserve. This 1.6km trail has been transformed into a fairy wonderland where you can wander through as if you were in a story visiting the many fairy houses and artistic details along the way. It is the perfect place to bring children to enhance their imagination and belief in a mystery land.

Whilst there you can visit the Adventure Playpark which can be just as fun for both kids and adults. You can find the usual equipment such as sides and swings as well as a ZIP line and an exercise zone.

The admission to the Giant's Lair and the Adventure Playpark is free.

The park is open seven days a week; 1st April to the first weekend in October – 8am until 9pm First weekend in October to 31st March – 8am until 5pm Closed Christmas Day
