London - Camden Town

I LOVE Camden Town. Without sounding uncool, it is just a cool place. It is an eclectic mix of markets, food and live music and has a real buzz about it.
Camden High Street itself has a punk, gothic feel to it. The buildings are so full of character and you will pass by many shops selling Doc Martins, Vans, tattoos and piercings. There are also many souvenir stalls so you can stock up on I Love London t-shirts and London bus magnets!
Camden is a place to go where you can happily sit and people watch for a few hours. The people here are colourfully clad, even with some walking around in full dress up as if it was Halloween. It is the perfect place to hunt out a bargain at the markets or buy a one off vintage piece at The Stables.
How to get here:
There are two underground stations to get off at, Camden Town and Chalk Farm Road, both of which are on the Northern Line.

Camden Market
Camden Market has been around since 1974, starting out with just 16 stalls. Nowadays it is London's largest market where you can find over 1000 places to eat, drink and shop. You can nab a personalised pair of Converse, some antique homewares or a simple pug candle. There really is so much random stuff here that it will be no trouble passing a few hours marvelling at it all. If you get a nice sunny day, get there early and nab a spot beside the food and drink stalls overlooking the canal.
Open daily from 10am - 7pm
